(AUDIO) TRENT HARMON GETS NERVOUS ON STAGE OVER THINGS HE CAN’T CONTROL

Trent Harmon says when it comes to performing live, he has never really had stage fright or nerves about getting up in front of people, at least not nervous about his own performance.  Trent says, “I don’t usually get nervous for myself. I get nervous for, is everything gonna go correctly?  Is there going to be a baby crying in the room? I get nervous for outside things I can’t control and that’s just a problem I need to work on. But I never have really got nervous for myself because it didn’t really help you any.”

Trent says the reason he doesn’t get nervous about his own performance is because he feels prepared.  He says, “What helps you is to practice and if you practice the song til you can sing it in your sleep you don’t have anything to be nervous about.”

You can bet Trent knows how to sing his top 20 single, “There’s A Girl,” in his sleep.

“I never have and if I do, I try to channel it for something else. I have caught myself getting nervous, and I’m almost ashamed to admit it sometimes and I don’t really know why, but you know I don’t usually get nervous for myself. I get nervous for, is everything gonna go correctly?  Is there going to be a baby crying in the room? I get nervous for outside things I can’t control and that’s just a problem I need to work on. But I never have really got nervous for myself because it didn’t really help you any.
